Say bonjour / hi! to Lynn Poulin, a Franco-Ontarian from Windsor, ON, Canada. Lynn manifests her art and talents through the identities of Le Petit Poulin; as a freelance photographer and graphic artist, and as Lyn Dah Kicks; a musician and retired roller derby alumni. She also prides herself as a make-up artist and bartender.
When describing the love of her art, Lynn explains that "being an artist has given me a variety of job opportunities, and the ability to break my daily routine. I've created my style of photography while at La Cité Collégiale in Ottawa".
The influences of Lynn's art include her family and friends, to whom she is very close with and holds with great importance. Lynn states that "my brothers have taught me to stand up for myself therefore I am who I am today; a strong woman that can do pretty much do anything, I put my mind to."
Lynn currently resides in Montreal, where she plays drums in local bands Pale Lips and Dirty Cheetah. Pre-Covid, Lynn was a photographer by day, while working at a music venue (Ministère) by night. Lynn has presented several photography expositions in the past, including the most notable at L'espace Public. Her experience, vision and drive have made her an important member of in the Montreal artistic scene.
